Luigi Naldin is the Director of the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy and Professor at the San Raffaele University, Milan. He developed the safe and effective deployment of gene therapy for several inherited diseases and some types of cancer and contributed to advance targeted genome editing in cell and gene therapy. He received the Outstanding Achievement Award from ASGCT and from ESGCT, the Beutler Prize from ASH and the 2019 Jeantet-Collen Prize for Translational Medicine.
