Carol Coricelli is a researcher in cognitive neuroscience at Western University London in Canada . She received her bachelor's degree in experimental psychology and cognitive science from the University of Padua, then earned her doctorate from the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy. Over the years he has lived in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Canada where he attended laboratories of excellence. His line of research is aimed at understanding the neural basis of food perception, in particular everything that happens in the brain prior to food ingestion when information from the visual system is processed. He participates in national and international conferences on topics related to cognitive neuroscience, and in 2020 he received a special mention for the Food and Nutrition category at the 2003 Group Young Researcher Award for the originality and impact of his research.
