Lorenza Pratali Cardiologist, Senior Researcher at the Clinical Physiology Institute of the CNR, President of the Italian Society of Mountain Medicine (2017-2023). Member of the Scientific Council of Fondazione Montagna Sicura. Professor University of Pisa, Department of Pharmacy. She authored 92 articles in international journals and peer reviewed. Coordinator for several regional, Italian and some European projects. In recent years, her scientific research has mainly focused on the physiology of extreme environments and in particular high altitudes with an interest in cardiovascular responses in these situations. In the past she has participated in research studies in mountain environments both in Nepal and in South America (Bolivia and Peru), creating research laboratories in complex environments. Another field of research is telemedicine in various territorial areas including remote environments.
