Medical doctor specializing in Food Science has practiced as a freelancer since 1979. President emeritus of Avis Provinciale Bergamo from 2002 to 2008. Also in 2008, he was elected to the Board and Medical Committee of Fiods (International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations). He was National Self-sufficiency and Programmatic Implementation Officer from 2005 to 2008 in the Council of AVIS National and since 2017 he has been National Medical Committee Coordinator. Since 2017, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors National Blood Center at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
